FINGERSTRIP GASKETS
Border Precision’s comprehensive and cost effective in-house designed and manufactured range of metal spring contact fingerstrips provides excellent shielding properties. Made from a selection of metals, most commonly Beryllium Copper. They can also be supplied made from Stainless Steel or Beryllium Free Copper.
All gaskets are available in a range of protective finishes, which include:
- Bright Copper
- Bright Tin
- Bright Nickel
- Zinc, Silver and Gold finishes are available on request.
Fingerstrip gaskets provide excellent RFI/EMC solutions in a wide variety of applications including electronics cabinets, chassis and enclosures, particularly on door applications, or where many wiping actions are experienced with frequent ‘open’ and ‘close’ type wiping cycles.
Where applications require longer runs of gaskets softer gaskets are available to reduce the door closure forces - without affecting RFI/EMC shielding performance.
Various mounting methods are available to customers to suit each individual application requirements – see diagram.
Several gasket profiles are available in 6.7m coils on request.

Due to the design fingerstrip gaskets are for only suitable for indoor / inboard applications, or where there environmental sealing is considered separately.
