Under the control of Arwen May, Border Business Improvement Manager, our Lean/Six Sigma programmes are developing positively. At the end of August 2010, we will have 6 new Six Sigma Green Belts, with Arwen herself on track for Black Belt status. Our entire workforce have received training on CIP/Lean and the next set of Green Belt projects/Candidates are currently being identified. Border have recently launched a series of Six Sigma Green Belt projects at our Kelso Plant to support our Lean Manufacturing Programme.Wayne Ballantyne ( Border MD, the Executive sponsor of these projects) commented,'The launch of these projects and our strive for key Border staff to achieve Green and Black Belt status,further confirms our commitment to Lean/CIP,and our aim of being our Customer's supplier of choice.'
